Taco Bell has introduced nationwide a six-drink line-up of its Refrescas nationwide, according to a news release.

The launch is part of the brand's long-term beverage strategy as it aims to reach $5 billion in beverage sales by 2030. Building on the success of its Live Más Café test location in Chula Vista, California, Taco Bell also is scaling the specialty beverage-focused concept by 30 more restaurants across Southern California and Texas by this fall.

"We're seeing today that people, especially younger consumers, are reaching for refreshing drinks as part of their lifestyle, whether it's for energy or a sweet treat throughout the day," Liz Matthews, Taco Bell's global chief food innovation officer, said in the press release. "So, we're making big investments to become the ultimate beverage stop where our fans can expect to see the same bold, unexpected creativity in their cups as they do on their plates."

Taco Bell's Refrescas lineup features six drinks:

  • Three Aqua Refrescas in the flavors of Strawberry Passionfruit, Dragonfruit Berry, and Mango Peach. The drink blends the Mexican beverage with freeze-dried fruit pieces and green tea.
  • Two Rockstar Energy Refrescas in the flavors of Pineapple Lime or Tropical Punch. Each Rockstar Energy Refresca has 200mg of caffeine.
  • One Refresca Freeze in a Strawbeerry Lime flavor featuring freeze-dried fruit pieces.

Live Más Cafés

In addition to its Refrescas launch, Taco Bell has announced the expansion of its beverage concept, Live Más Café. The company plans to open 30 new locations across Southern California, Dallas, and Houston by fall 2025.

Select Taco Bell restaurants across Southern California, Dallas, and Houston will be transformed to the new concept in the coming months. Several of those locations will launch in partnership with Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG), the franchise organization operating the first Live Más Café that opened last year. Both DRG and company-owned locations will open this summer, with the first in Orange, California, with more openings to closely follow in Irvine, San Diego and Los Angeles County.

Inspired by Gen Z's love for curated, customizable drinks, the brand's café concept offers more than 30 signature beverages, such as its Churro Chillers, specialty coffees, Refrescas and Dirty Mountain Dew Baja Blast Dream Sodas, each made by trained "Bellristas" who handcraft the specialty drinks on the spot.
