Taco Bell TV spot puts breakfast on front burner
Taco Bell wants a bigger bite of the breakfast action, so it's pushing its dollar breakfast burrito in a new campaign that puts the brand strongly in the pockets of what the ad portrays as somewhat jaded and beleaguered office workers everywhere.
To emphasize the overall millennial-fied "hipness" that the brand is pushing, it also underscores its unity with that generation's known penchant for all things healthful, green and ethical. In fact, in a news release announcing the new TV ad campaign, it emphasizes those very qualities as being inherent in Taco Bell breakfast offerings, including:
- Ethical eatingthrough the use of cage-free eggs and vegetarian options, which the news release says allows diners to "feel responsible about the first decision of your morning."
- Informed purchasing through the dollar offerings including a grilled breakfast burrito, mini-skillet bowl, soft taco or sausage flatbread quesadilla, as well as slightly more pricey items like a $1.99 breakfast quesadilla and a $2.49 AM crunchwrap.
