Taco Bueno partners with Wireless Ronin for menu board initiative

November 16, 2010

Taco Bueno has embarked upon a digital menu board and promotional display initiative with the help of Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc.

The transition will start with three Taco Bueno locations implementing four menu board displays and one promotional board display. The 190-unit, Mexican quick-service chain anticipates a broader deployment in the coming months.

Wireless Ronin, based out of Minneapolis, will provide the software platform, content engineering, support, networking and maintenance.

Taco Bueno and Wireless Ronin teamed up to develop a solution that fits the chain's branding and communication needs, compliance with nutritional labeling laws and daypart scheduling to maximize messaging space.

"At Taco Bueno, we always strive to improve our customers' dining experience," said John Miller, president and CEO. "Ensuring that the technology fits with our comfortable Southwest atmosphere was very important to us. Wireless Ronin has extensive knowledge in creating experiences that extend the brand and we are very pleased with the outcome."

Scott Koller, president and COO for Wireless Ronin, said digital menu boards make a big difference in the foodservice industry, especially as space management changes happen with the impending mandatory display of nutritional information.
