Thai chains install credit card terminals

A long list of restaurants in Thailand have boosted their customer service experience. Posnet, an EFTPOS network service provider, has deployed Symstream-enabled credit card terminals in 18 different chains throughout the country.

Additionally, the new payment terminals reduce merchant processing fees and eliminate the need and cost of additional phone lines at these restaurants.

Symstream’s Management system allows Posnet to keep an eye on the entire network in real time, which results in proactive troubleshooting and problem rectification.

“The primary advantages of this solution are reliability, security, and the solution also enables us to closely monitor our fleet,” Roongruangyot said. “This gives us complete visibility and control of our entire fleet, bringing a new level of flexibility and ease of use, while maintaining our commitment to reliability. We now deploy Symstream enabled wireless terminals and to date have recorded better than 99 percent up time, compared to legacy wireless technology.” 

Providing guests with a secure and reliable payment option has become a priority for the QSR industry, added Mark Gamon, Symstream’s director of strategy and international development.

Many QSRs have eyed Thailand for expansion within the past year, including Krispy Kreme; Cold Stone Creamery; and Dairy Queen.
