After receiving more than 63,000 submissions as part of the "Duelling Donuts" contest, Tim Hortons and Actor Jason Priestley have chosen eight donuts to go head-to-head in a tournament-style competition where it is now up to Canadians to vote for the winner.
From now through Aug. 18, Canadians can visit DuellingDonuts.ca to vote for one of the following eight donut finalists:
"We know how passionate our guests are about our donuts, but we were amazed with the number of entries we received for the Duelling Donuts contest," says Donna Finelli, vice president of Marketing, Food and Merchandise, Tim Hortons. "We're very excited about the eight finalists chosen by Jason Priestley and the judging panel, and we can't wait to see which one Canadians will choose."
After the voting period, the winner of the contest will be awarded $10,000 cash and could have their donut added to the Tim Hortons' menu. The second, third and fourth place donut designs will receive $500 in Tim Cards each, and the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth place donut designs will receive $100 in Tim Cards each. In addition, Tim Hortons will be awarding random prizes of $100 in Tim Cards during the voting phase.
