Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop's "Holiday Helpers" will be surprising retail employees with a special edition travel mug that entitles them to free coffee from Nov. 28 through Dec. 1.
The Holiday Helpers, Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop restaurant owners, will be surprising retail workers all week long with special Black Friday rallies. They will visit big box retailers such as BestBuy, Kmart and Target, to give those who are working on Black Friday a special "I Survived Black Friday" travel mug.
"We believe in the spirit of giving during the holiday season," said Mike Meilleur, executive vice president, Tim Hortons U.S. "This year we wanted to give something to the people who work the hardest — the retail workers. We hope to keep them warm and caffeinated as they put in long hours this Thanksgiving weekend."
Those retail employees who receive an "I Survived Black Friday" travel mug can get free coffee refills at participating Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop restaurants in participating markets.
This is the third year for Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop's Holiday Helpers program. In previous years, the chain's Holiday Helpers visited Black Friday shoppers handing out more than $25,000 in gift cards to unsuspecting shoppers.
