March 6, 2006
ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Verizon Wireless announced that Chick-fil-A Inc. has signed a two-year, voice and data agreement. Implemented in January, this agreement will provide wireless service to more than 45,000 members of the Chick-fil-A system.
Chick-fil-A purchased 1,000 Verizon Wireless lines and 1,000 handsets, including Treos and PDAs. Additionally, the Atlanta-based company has invested in BroadbandAccess PC cards giving its chain wide employees access to the nation's largest high-speed wireless broadband network.
"As we were researching wireless options to enhance our business, we came to the conclusion that we needed to align with a business-class carrier with the most reliable network," said Linda McEntire, Information Technology of Chick-fil-A.
