Whataburger named a top workplace in San Antonio

Whataburger Restaurants LLC has been selected as a San Antonio Express-News Top Workplace for 2013. The company was nominated by its employees and assessed in areas such as the company's leadership, its values and future, communication, and atmosphere and environment.

The winners were published in the Oct. 27 Top Workplaces special section of the San Antonio Express-News.

"It's an honor to be named a Top Workplace because it comes directly from Whataburger employees, who we call Family Members," said Marianne Dowdy, Whataburger VP of Human Resources. "From our restaurant operations to home office support teams, we take pride in our work, take care of each other and love serving our customers."

The company has more than 25,000 employees with more than 750 locations in 10 states.

This is the fifth year for the San Antonio Express-News to team up with WorkplaceDynamics, an independent research firm, to recognize the best places to work in the San Antonio area. Winning employers are chosen through employee surveys on a variety of workplace topics, and survey results are verified by an independent organization.
