White Castle, Garage Beer team up on summer collab

White Castle and Garage Beer have partnered to launch a series of collaborations this summer, beginning with a limited-edition bundle designed for retail customers, according to a press release.

The partnership between the two Ohio-based brands officially begins today with the release of the Super Summer Slider Starter Kit. Available exclusively through White Castle's online store, the House of Crave, the $67 kit includes brand merchandise, 20 Beer Cheese Sliders, four stick-desserts and coupons for 12 free frozen sliders. The kit does not include alcohol, though it is designed to pair with the beverage brand's light beer. Shipped in dry ice, the price includes shipping.

"You don't get the kind of fans White Castle and Garage Beer have by accident. You earn them through great taste, keeping it real and showing true commitment to the communities you serve," Jamie Richardson, chief marketing officer at White Castle, said in the press release. "This collaboration was a natural fit, and we're thrilled to give Cravers and Garage Beer fans a taste of what happens when we come together to have a little fun."

Additional collaborations under the partnership are expected to roll out to restaurant locations and grocery freezer aisles later this summer.

"Everyone knows sliders and beer belong together. As two Ohio-based brands, White Castle and Garage Beer both believe the best things in life don't need to be complicated," Andy Sauer, CEO of Garage Beer, added in the press release. "There's nothing more straightforward than great food and an ice-cold Garage Beer, and we're excited to bring fans a partnership that's 100% authentic, fun and unmistakably us."

The promotion follows a previous joint giveaway by the two companies last year featuring a custom-painted vintage refrigerator.

"When White Castle and Garage Beer first collaborated last year, they held a giveaway for a vintage fridge custom painted with images reflecting White Castle and Garage Beer," Richardson said. "The Super Summer Slider Starter Kit brings that same energy. It's craveable, it's refreshing and it's a whole lot of fun. And this is just the beginning."

White Castle operates 340 restaurants and a retail division.
