White Castle inducts loyal fans into hall of fame

October 23, 2012

White Castle will induct its most dedicated fans, known as "Craver Nation," at its annual Cravers Hall of Fame event Oct. 25 in Columbus, Ohio. The 2012 class includes 11 fans from seven states.

A panel of judges narrowed 735 entries down to the top 36 stories. The judges used a point system and set criteria to evaluate each story based on brand loyalty, creative presentation, originality and magnitude of "the crave."

"White Castle is fortunate to have such dedicated customers who go to extreme lengths to fulfill their craving for Sliders," said Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle. "Many of our Cravers have grown up with our brand and have incorporated it into their lives, whether it's coming to our annual Valentine's Day dinner, sneaking Crave Cases into a wedding reception or just simply passing the love of Sliders from one generation to the next."

This year's inductees include:

  • Bruce Boyd, Cape Coral, Fla.
  • Jessica and Josh Isham, Rockford, Ill.
  • Ron Joy and Ralph Perricelli, New City, N.Y.
  • Harrison Krat, Burlingame, Calif.
  • Rueben Lillie, Chicago.
  • Thomas Sticha, Norridge, Ill.
  • Turk Vangel, Huntington Beach, Calif.
  • Jim Work, Millington, Mich.
  • Stu Gonzales, Omaha, Neb.

The Cravers Hall of Fame was founded in 2001. Since then, 9,545 people have applied for inclusion, and 80 Cravers have been inducted into the club. The number of Hall of Famers increases to 91 this year.
