QSR brands make value their primary call to action on Mother's Day, much to the relief of cash-strapped kids of all ages, who want to show some love without losing their shirts.

With the National Restaurant Association estimating that about one-third of Americans (34 percent) will take their moms out to eat Sunday in celebration of Mother's Day, restaurant brands of every ilk stand to make some cash this weekend. And a lot of those will head to QSR restaurants where kids can empty there piggy banks for mom's meal and actually purchase something.
That's why QSRs will be just as busy, if not more so, than their more upscale cousins flaunting the white tablecloths and fine china. So here are some ideas about what brands can expect as far as Mom's Day trends in their restaurants Sunday, from the results of an ORC International survey of 1,006 U.S. adults May 3-6, commissioned by the NRA on Mother's Day preferences and plans.
As far as time of day, about half said they'll head out for dinner with Mama that day, while 35 percent will go to lunch and 24 percent would do brunch. Eleven percent said they would be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the first meal of the day with ol' mom — breakfast.
And make no mistake about it, most moms prefer to sit down for a meal with the family on Mother's Day over other gift possibilities, including gifts of flowers (preferred by 15 percent), household items (11 percent), a restaurant gift card (10 percent), jewelry (9 percent) and clothing or accessories (8 percent). The option of leaving town for a day and going far, far away from their families was apparently not an option.
So to help all those seeking a little something extra at their nearby QSR this coming Sunday, check out some of the following deals that have crossed the QSRweb editor's desk recently for the big day:
