On Saturday, Oct. 21, Arby's is bringing back a one-day-only offering of the insanely popular venison sandwich the chain sold last year at select stores. But this time, venison will be available at all 3,300 Arby's outlets nationwide, a report by USA Today said.
And if that's enough to get game meat gourmets out of their deer stands, three restaurants in of Colorado, Wyoming and Montana will also offer elk sandwiches.
Last year when the chain introduced its farm-raised venison sandwiches, they sold out in mere minutes in the handful of states where they were offered. Arby's CMO Jim Taylor expects nothing less this year with the venison and elk offerings, according to the article.
Arby's obtains its grass-fed free-range venison from New Zealand. The venison sandwich features a slab of meat along with crispy onions, while the elk offering features a blackberry port wine sauce, the article said.
