Auntie Anne's retail pretzel dog supplier issues recall over misbranding

City Line Foods Manufacturing Co. has recalled more than 1 million pounds of frozen pretzel dogs because of "misbranding and undeclared allergens."

MeatPoultry.comreported that the recall came about after a routine label review by the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service found soy lecithin – a known allergen – in the product. The ingredient was not included on the label.

The pretzel dogs were manufactured between Feb. 14-Nov. 14 and include Auntie Anne’s All Beef Classic Pretzel Dogs, Auntie Anne’s Fundraising Pretzel Dogs and Nathan’s Famous Pretzel Dogs.

However, the recall does not affect Auntie Anne's pretzel stores found in shopping malls, airports and other venues.
