Bojangles drenches diners in tea giveaways this National Iced Tea Day

Bojangles has made a name for itself with its sippable Southern iced tea, which is why the QSR is spending this National Iced Tea Day today doling out dollar offerings of the stuff in any size.

Iced Tea is a source of pride for this brand, which said in a news release that its restaurant teams steep its "Southern" tea leaf concoction in small batches to enhance the taste. 

"Our Legendary Iced Tea is timeless, and has refreshed Bojangles' fanatics for decades," Bojangles CMO Jackie Woodward, said in the release. "It's a Southern staple, and with the arrival of summer, there's no better time for us to share this promotion. Bojangles' fans, grab a cup of our sweet tea and join us in toasting to summer!"

As part of Bojangles' reading of the tea leaves, it is also hosting an Instagram contest around the travels of its mascot, Cuppy. Those who follow the titan-sized tea cup on the social media site as it heads to the South Carolina coast for the day are eligible to win 1,000 cups of tea. And finally, the brand is using the holiday to increase its loyalty club sign-ups, offering all who enroll in the Bojangles eclub a half-gallon of free tea with a purchase.
