Burger King aims to 'wake up' app subscriptions with free daily java offer

March 15, 2019

Burger King wants app users and it's enticing them with the smell of sweet caffeine to get their business.

The brand has launched a BK Café Coffee subscription only for app users, at a fee of $5 monthly, according to a press release. In exchange, the club member gets a daily free small coffee daily.

The brand is using the subscription model, launched today, through the "offers" tab on its app, which the chain's leaders said shows their innovation as a QSR with technology.

"We continue to leverage technology to enhance our guests experience in our restaurants," Burger King North America President Chris Finazzo said in the release. "We are proud to launch our own subscription service where guests can now enjoy a hot cup of coffee every day for just $5 a month."

Aside from the straight Arabica-bean beverage accessed thru the subscription, the QSR offers iced coffee and frappes. The subscription is not available for customers in Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
