Burger King to launch limited-time menu inspired by upcoming Star Wars movie

Burger King will launch a limited-time menu on May 4 to promote the upcoming theatrical release of "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu," according to a press release.

The promotional menu, available at participating U.S. locations while supplies last, features items with themed packaging and ingredients inspired by the film. The lineup includes the BBQ Bounty Whopper, which features Swiss cheese and a "Bounty BBQ Sauce" served in a helmet-shaped carton. Other items include Grogu's Blue Cookie Shake, Grogu's Garlic Chicken Fries and Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots.

Customers who purchase specific combos or a "Bounty Bundle" containing all four items will receive one of four collectible cups.

"Star Wars has shaped generations of fans, and as we head into the release of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, we saw an opportunity to bring that excitement straight into our restaurants," Joel Yashinsky, CMO of Burger King U.S. and Canada, said in the press release. "From themed packaging to bold, flavor-forward menu items, this is our way of celebrating an iconic new film with the iconic flame-grilled taste only Burger King can deliver."

The chain also began offering a King Jr. Meal featuring a Mandalorian-themed toy and standard kid-friendly fare such as hamburgers or nuggets April 28th.

The Burger King 'Have It Your Way' spirit makes them the perfect brand to help fans celebrate the upcoming theatrical release of 'The Mandalorian and Grogu' because it's rooted in bringing people together through shared, memorable experiences," Jan Coleman, VP of partnerships and promotions at The Walt Disney Studios, said in the press release. "Together, we're giving fans and families a fun and delicious way to connect with the excitement of the galaxy."

Burger King has more than 19,000 locations in more than 120 countries and U.S. territories.

"Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu" is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 22.
