As Americans prepare for one of the busiest travel weekends of the summer, Carl's Jr. is issuing a playful challenge to road trippers to bypass a competitor for a complimentary burger, according to a press release.
From now until June 30, the fast-food chain is offering a free Sourdough Star to My Rewards members who prove they drove past a Jack in the Box on their route to eat at Carl's Jr. instead.
To claim the offer, customers must visit a promotional website and upload a screenshot of a GPS route or other proof showing they drove past a Jack in the Box. The reward will be sent directly to the Carl's Jr. mobile app and remains valid until July 7, 2026.
"When hunger strikes on a road trip, it's tempting to pull over at the first burger joint you see," Paz Romero, vice president of brand marketing at Carl's Jr., said in the press release. "This summer, we know our loyal fans and new customers are bound to drive by a Carl's Jr., so we want to reward them for stopping at the best burger option on the road."
The promotion highlights the limited-time return of the chain's Sourdough Star, which features a charbroiled beef patty, cherrywood bacon, classic sauce, grilled onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise on toasted sourdough. Carl's Jr. also recently updated its Build Your Own Bag options and added a Triple Berry drink lineup.
Carl's Jr. operates more than 1,000 restaurants across the U.S. and has a presence in 24 countries worldwide
