TCBY, The Country's Best Yogurt, will boomerang back to Northwest Arkansas after a 10-year absence from the area. The company's "This Could Be Yours, The Great TCBY Store Giveaway" winners, Sarah and Jared Greer, have signed a real estate deal in Rogers, Ark.
The anticipated opening date of the new, 1,800-square-foot store, which will be located in the Promenade Pointe Shopping Center, is spring 2011. The Greer family is from Fayetteville, Ark.
To win the grand prize, U.S. residents over the age of 21 had to submit a video, no longer than 2 minutes, explaining why they should be the recipient of their own TCBY store, why their town is the perfect location, and what they have to offer the brand. All submissions were judged on creativity, business acumen and originality.
“We knew when we chose Sarah and Jared, they would be thoughtful and earnest in their ownership of a TCBY,” says Tim Casey, CEO of TCBY. “Returning to Northwest Arkansas on our 30th anniversary is a significant milestone for the brand."
The Greers will open a reimaged TCBY, which debuted earlier this year and features a modern aesthetic and a self-serve experience.
"We are pleased that they have chosen our self-serve model and that the timing works out to showcase our new store design," Casey said. "The folks of Northwest Arkansas are in for a real treat."
