Del Taco is pushing its turkey tacos and other so-called "Eat Well with Del" items this new year as great ways for those who've resolved to either save calories or cash to fulfill their 2017 promises, according to a news release.
Del Taco VP of Marketing Noah Chillingworth said the turkey Del Taco is a great choice for dieters because it saves them 40 percent of the fat they would normally take in with a regular beef Del Taco. It also allows members of the chain's Raving Fan eClub to get a free taco each time they purchase one.
Aside from the turkey taco deal, calorie counters can order turkey-fied versions of the brand's three Signature taco salads, which each weigh in at less than 600 calories.
"We're committed to giving our guests the greatest value and variety in the industry, and that means creating options for Del Taco fans who are resolving to eat better in 2017," Del Taco VP of Marketing Noah Chillingworth, said in a news release. "By substituting our seasoned turkey in any menu item that traditionally comes with seasoned beef, our guests can still satisfy their Mexican food cravings while cutting out nearly half the fat."
Budget-conscious customers can also score this year with an array of 16 value offerings on Del Taco's Buck and Under menu, as well as seven breakfast options for under $1, according to the release. Those items appear to be contributing to the chain's overall success, since earlier this week they reported very positive FY 2016 financial results, as we reported earlier.
