Del Taco streamlines operations with Kitchen Brains

In an effort to improve kitchen operations, Del Taco recently upgraded kitchen timers to Kitchen Brains' TT-500.

The TT-500 is FAST's (a Kitchen Brains' company) LCD touchscreen timer for the foodservice industry. According to Eric Raderer of Kitchen Brains, the TT-500's additional features, versatility and flexibility has positively impacted Del Taco's operations.

"Del Taco needed a fast and easy way to regularly update timers to support their menu vision," Raderer said. "The TT-500 offers unlimited timing capacity as well as automated 'store alerts' for specific, predetermined events, and can be updated easily with a USB flashdrive."

Raderer and Kitchen Brains' engineers helped Del Taco uncover additional ways to maximize the timer's use in the kitchen.

"The ability to update timers via USB port allows us to ensure that they are standardized across the brand," said Stacy Marler, senior director of quality assurance and food safety at Del Taco. "Our training department has also benefitted. Because of the TT-500's robust software capabilities, we are able to easily upload our build cards into the system, making it easy for employees to access a library of digitized build cards as a quick reference of each ingredient in a product build."
