Tim Hortons restaurants in the U.S. are launching a Harry Potter-inspired menu and merchandise line starting Aug. 12 to celebrate Back to Hogwarts and the 25th anniversary of the movie franchise, according to a press release.
"Harry Potter has been a beloved part of so many of our guests' lives for decades and we couldn't be more excited for guests to discover the wizarding world at Tim Hortons restaurants," Katerina Glyptis, president of Tim Hortons U.S., said in the release.
The limited-time menu features four Hogwarts house donuts: Gryffindor Strawberry Cheesecake, Slytherin Chocolate Pistachio, Ravenclaw Blueberry and Hufflepuff Lemon Meringue. Customers can select their preferred house or request a mystery box. The chain is also introducing Golden Snitch Caramel Timbits, which can be purchased with a limited-edition holder.
"We're bringing the magic of Harry Potter to life in true Tims fashion — from donuts inspired by each Hogwarts House, to a Golden Snitch Timbit and Timbit holder, spellbinding Patronus and Forbidden Forest inspired drinks, and limited-edition merch that guests will want to collect and share," Glyptis said.
New beverages include the Patronus Sparkling beverage and Forbidden Forest Iced Tea, which will be served in temperature-activated, color-changing cups that reveal a trail of Patronuses when filled. The promotion also includes special-edition packaging for donuts, Timbits and cold cups at participating locations while supplies last.
