Iced tea franchise HTeaO is expanding into South Texas with its first location in the Rio Grande Valley, according to a press release.

The Brownsville store, located at 205 Rocky Road, will be owned and operated by local franchise partners Omar Ortega and Anna Marroquin of AMO Tea Enterprises 1, LLC. The 1,900-square-foot location broke ground on July 22 and is expected to open in early 2027.

The store will feature a single-lane drive-thru and offer the brand's full menu of more than 20 fresh-brewed sweetened and unsweetened teas, along with specialty beverages, snacks and bagged ice.

"Anna and I are incredibly excited to bring HTeaO to Brownsville," Ortega said in the release. "We love what the brand offers, from the variety of fresh-brewed teas to the welcoming experience, and we cannot wait to share that with the community. Our goal is to create a place people can stop by, cool off and enjoy with their family and friends."

"Texas remains central to HTeaO's growth strategy, and bringing our first location to the Rio Grande Valley is an exciting milestone for the brand," Shane Clark, chief development officer of HTeaO, said in the release. "As demand for the brand continues to grow, we are focused on entering new markets with strong franchise partners who can build lasting connections in their communities. Omar and Anna share that vision, and we are excited to support them as they establish HTeaO in Brownsville and help strengthen our presence across South Texas."

Additional information regarding the exact opening date and grand opening celebration will be announced as construction progresses.

HTeaO recently named Brian Wise as its CEO.
