Krispy Kreme has partnered with ER Group to bring the doughnut chain to Mauritius, with the first shop expected to open later this year, according to a press release.

ER Group will partner with Krispy Kreme's existing South African franchisee, KK Doughnuts SA, to operate the new locations. The company plans to open approximately 10 shops across Mauritius over the next five years.

The initial Mauritian location will feature the brand's signature Hot Light experience, offering Original Glazed doughnuts served hot off the line.

"We're pleased to bring Krispy Kreme to Mauritius," Josh Charlesworth, Krispy Kreme CEO, said in the press release. "ER Group's deep understanding of the local market, combined with KK Doughnuts SA's proven experience operating the Krispy Kreme brand, creates a strong foundation for growth. Together, we look forward to sharing our fresh, delicious doughnuts with consumers across the country."

The expansion into Mauritius marks the third new international market Krispy Kreme has announced in 2026 utilizing its capital-light franchise model, following previous announcements for the Netherlands and Estonia.
