Sometimes it tough to be heard over all the noise in the QSR industry, so Long John Silver's has launched its own record label to get a voice in the Lenten QSR fish trade. The brand's newly minted, Fish Yeah Records also signed a band called the Coral Benders to the label and released its first "audio coupons" this week, a news release said.
Customers redeem the coupons by playing one of the ocean-themed songs from the freshman record dropped on #NewMusicFridays on Soundcloud.
"Throughout the Lent season, our fans and followers will be treated not only to delicious and crave-able fish offerings, but also a weekly song and audio coupon drop from our house band, the Coral Benders," said Long John Silver's Vice President of Marketing Stephanie Mattingly, in the release.
New songs from the freshman album, complemented by original artwork, will be announced via Twitter and can be heard on Soundcloud each Friday. They will be trailed by a new audio coupon the following week.
Long John Silver's now has nearly 1,000 franchised restaurants nationwide.
