Taco Cabana is turning 48, and the Texas-born brand has announced that it is celebrating all September long.

Leading the celebration is the new Dragonada, one of Taco Cabana's most colorful beverages. The latest addition to the Cabana Refreshers lineup combines a lemonade base with dragon fruit and chamoy for a blend balance of sweet, tangy and slightly spicy flavors.

The company also has returned the Double Crunch Pizza to its menu. Now with an improved recipe, the fan-favorite features two hybrid tortillas layered with refried beans, seasoned ground beef, queso, shredded cheese and tomatoes. Green Enchiladas have also returned and are now available for a limited time. They feature shredded chicken topped with green sauce, shredded cheese and sour cream.

"Forty-eight years is a milestone worth celebrating, and we wanted to make September a month of celebration for our guests," said Ulyses Camacho, president and chief operations officer of Taco Cabana. "We're introducing something completely new with the Dragonada, giving the Double Crunch Pizza an upgrade and bringing back Green Enchiladas, all while giving our guests plenty of ways to enjoy the month with special offers. It's our way of celebrating 48 years of Taco Cabana and the guests who have made the brand part of their communities for nearly five decades."

The birthday celebration continues throughout September with special offers that include:

48-cent Bean & Cheese Taco Mondays: Guests can purchase up to five Bean & Cheese Tacos for 48 cents each, every Monday in September.
$2.50 Thursdays: Margaritas and Cabana Refreshers are $2.50 all day, every Thursday in September.
Double Happy Hour: Guests can enjoy Happy Hour twice daily, from 3-6 p.m. and again from 9-11 p.m., every day throughout September, including Fridays and Saturdays.
