Taco John's throws some salsa on the Bluegrass State

Taco John's is sprinkling a little spice on the Bluegrass State with a dozen new locations in central Kentucky planned in the immediate future, a news release said. The first of the new locations is set to open in Glasgow, Kentucky in February under new area developer Bradley Paxton and his partner, Matthew Keiser.

The partners now own a medical sales management company in Nashville, Tennessee, but the two men said they both grew up in Kentucky and ate at the Mexican QSR often.

"I'm from western Kentucky where everyone loves eating at Taco John's," Paxton said in the release. "This opportunity is a perfect fit for my business partner and I and a great use of our management experience. We admire the rapid growth of the brand and its loyal following. We believe bringing Taco John's to central Kentucky is a smart business decision and it's going to be a lot of fun."

Taco John's Vice President of Development Van Ingram said the new developers are bringing a great opportunity for the brand, too, to increase its presence in the Bowling Green and Lexington areas.
"Bradley and Matthew's management skills and passion for Taco John's makes them the perfect fit for our brand and we're thrilled to have them lead the way in central Kentucky," he said in the release.

The business — which began in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1969 — now has nearly 400 QSRs in 23 states.
