Some Tim Hortons restaurants are currently testing wireless Internet services for its customers.
According to the Guelph Mercury, stores in Kelowna, British Columbia, Red Deer, Alberta, and Toronto, Barrie and St. Catharines, Ontario, are currently being tested, as well as a handful of locations in the U.S.
David Morelli, Tim Hortons director of public affairs, said the test is a way to fit the needs of all guests, including students and business people. The company has yet to name a provider for its WiFi services.
Tim Hortons has more than 4,000 restaurants across North America. Competing coffee brands Starbucks and McDonald's both offer the free service for their customers.
