White Castle has opened its third freestanding Central Florida restaurant. The restaurant is open in Kissimmee, according to a press release.
The 3,430-square-foot facility at 5828 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway includes 52 indoor seats, 40 outdoor seats and two drive-through lanes. The opening has created 60 jobs in Osceola County under the leadership of General Manager Veronica Serrano.
"You could say our Kissimmee Castle has been 105 years in the making," Lisa Ingram, White Castle CEO, said in the release. "We're humbled by the enthusiasm of our fans and honored to be part of this incredible community. At White Castle, our mission is to create memorable moments every day — and today is certainly one of them."
Chief Marketing Officer Jamie T. Richardson said the location represents a significant milestone for the company's expansion in Florida.
"The Kissimmee Castle marks an exciting new milestone in our Florida growth. Each new Castle allows us to carry forward our 105-year family legacy while celebrating the Cravers who make fulfilling the Crave so meaningful. This Castle is a symbol of gratitude — to our team members, our Cravers, and the many in the Kissimmee community," Richardson said in the release.
Osceola County officials welcomed the investment and its impact on the local workforce.
"We're thrilled to welcome White Castle to District 1," Peggy Choudhry, Osceola County commissioner, said in the release. "Their decision to invest here reflects the strength and potential of our local economy. Our board is proud to support opportunities that create jobs, attract visitors, and add to the vibrancy of our community as we continue building momentum and being first to what's next."
During the ceremony, White Castle presented a $5,000 check to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida/Osceola County.
"Our partnership with White Castle continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the more than 15,500 youth we serve across Central Florida," Jamie Merrill, president and CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida, said in the release. "We are deeply grateful for their ongoing support, which helps us open doors of opportunity and serve up brighter futures for every child who walks through our club doors."
The company plans to continue its rapid growth in the state with a groundbreaking in Daytona Beach on May 12 and a fifth location planned for St. Augustine. The Kissimmee restaurant is open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m.
White Castle is a family owned and operated business with 334 restaurants and a retail division.
