Pizza executive takes operations lead at Jimboy's Tacos

Former Chicago Fire Pizza Operations Vice President Todd Swiderski will fill the operations director post at Jimboy's Tacos, bringing more than 25 years of industry experience to the role.  A news release said Swiderski will work to streamline operations, reduce costs, increase profits and boost the guest experience.

Jimboy's has completed a brand reimage and updated its' restaurant prototype and technologies in the past year to improve daily operational efficiency. The brand also recently launched online ordering, as well as a mobile app and loyalty program.

Swiderski will support these initiatives in his role overseeing company and franchise operations including franchise development, real estate, training, customer relations, store design and construction.

"We are thrilled to add an operations pro of Todd's caliber to our talented leadership team, especially during such a pivotal time in our brand's 64-year history," CEO Bob Andersen, said in the release.

"It's an exciting time for Jimboy's as we introduce our updated look to longtime and future fans and make our mark in new territories like Southern California. Jimboy's is in growth mode, and we're confident Todd will help to ensure that our operations programs are top-notch."

Swiderski, a Northern California native, said he has always loved the chain's Parmesan-dusted taco, but was especially happy to be joining the leadership team now.

"I am very impressed with Jimboy's refreshed image, which remains true to its roots," he said in the release. "I'm looking forward to working closely with the executive team and franchisees as we continue to grow this enduring and beloved brand."

Jimboy's has 40 locations mostly in Northern California. The brand will start operating locations in Southern California this spring, beginning with a Huntington Beach Pacific Coast Highway unit, followed by Brea and Irvine. The new restaurants are among 20 planned as part of a multi-unit deal in Southern California.
