Following an analysis of 27 billion online conversations over a 12-month period, NetBase, a social intelligence platform company, found that the No. 1 thing women say “I want” about is ice cream and that the No. 1 buzzed about brand is Dairy Queen.
“The Dairy Queen brand captured 41 percent of the social conversation by women, more than twice as much as any of the other nine brands surfaced,” said Lisa Joy Rosner, chief marketing officer of NetBase.
To celebrate, 100 Dairy Queen Facebook fans will be randomly selected to receive a $10 DQ gift card.
“We want to thank our fans who are talking about the Dairy Queen brand online -- particularly women. Now we know that what women want is DQ,” said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing at American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ).
The DQ Facebook fan page at facebook.com/dairyqueen has more than 4.6 million friends.
