Taco Bell and Salt & Straw are teaming up once again, this time with a new frozen take on one of Taco Bell's signature desserts, the companies announced in a news release. Starting Sept. 1, the Salt & Straw Churro Ice Cream Taco will be available at Taco Bell restaurants nationwide for a limited time, giving customers across the country a chance to try the collaboration.
The new offering is the latest evolution of the brands' partnership and brings together Taco Bell's churro-inspired dessert format with Salt & Straw's ice cream. The companies described it as the latest twist on the "beloved sweet treat," with the limited-time launch expanding the collaboration to more Taco Bell customers nationwide.
The partnership also extends to Taco Bell's Live Más Café locations, where customers can find the new Salt & Straw Choco-Waffle Chiller. The frozen beverage is available exclusively at Live Más Café, while the Churro Ice Cream Taco will be offered at both Taco Bell restaurants and Live Más Café locations.
The two items are part of a limited-time collaboration, giving fans a short window to try the latest Taco Bell and Salt & Straw creations before they leave the menu.
Last year's collaboration showed us how much joy there is in reimagining a nostalgic favorite, and we're thrilled to work with Salt & Straw to bring a new ice cream taco to Taco
Bell restaurants," Liz Matthews, global chief food innovation officer at Taco Bell, said in a news release. "The Churro Ice Cream Taco builds on everything fans loved about the original collaboration, with a flavor that feels right at home on our menu."
