KFC U.K. gets fresh

KFC U.K. has shifted its focus to fresh. In doing so, two units are testing a new layout design that includes in-store images and videos highlighting the company’s use of fresh ingredients and chicken preparations.

According to Marketing Week, restaurants in Cannock and Nuneaton are involved in the initial push of the new campaign.

The new restaurant design is part of a major investment in KFC UK’s 800 locations. The testing also includes technology implementation such as table top touchscreens for ordering, social networking, gaming and more. Games and video content on the touch-sensitive technology is provided by 4Music’s “The Crush,” a music television program sponsored by KFC.

Jennelle Tilling, KFC UK’s marketing director, said the chain is hoping to prepare all chicken fresh in-store soon.
